Our Story
Every brand claims to have a unique story, but RamTang’ genuinely does. Let’s rewind to the late ’90s, when Sally Chilton – now affectionately known as Mumma Cello – found herself chatting into the early hours with a guest at her B&B while sipping on a gifted limoncello. Sally has always loved citrus flavours but found the liqueur too sweet. She dreamed of something punchier, with more fruit, vibrancy and tang.
Now 71, Sally has lived a full life. She has done it all – worked as a ski guide and chef, ran a successful B&B and raised two sons as a single mother. But for Sally, there was room for one more venture; entrepreneurship and hospitality are in her blood.
"RamTang’ isn’t just a drink – it’s my dream brought to life. It’s about flavour, fun and following my own path, one bottle at a time." – Sally
In her South London kitchen, Sally began experimenting with citrus, handcrafting her own version of cello for family, friends and guests. After years of tweaking and perfecting the recipe, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Inspired, Sally and her son Christopher teamed up to transform this humble creation into a fully-fledged brand. Proudly independent and family-run, RamTang’ was built from the ground up with passion and dedication at its core.
